My Aim Is True

Elvis Costello

Greg Barker

This LP proves that a former computer programmer from the British Isles can make it big (let that be some inspiration to those taking Data Processing). Not actually new wave, Costello represents "pub" rock — essentially the English version of R&B. The songs are short and energetic, and reminiscent of 50's rock 'n' roll. The band works well as a unit, with nobody crowding the spotlight.
