From A Whisper To A Scream

Philip Hall

Not to be confused with the indispensable country jukebox classic "From A Jack To A King." This is ol' four eyes' most commercial effort in ages. Of late Elvis seems to have fallen into a serious musician's rut as the soulful Costello sound has crushed all the subtlety out of his underestimated melodies. Perhaps it's the inclusion of Glenn Tilbrook, the soft voiced Squeeze vocalist, which makes this single such a tuneful delight?
