I went to the concert at the New Picket in Liverpool on 5 July what a night that was.

Tried for 4 weeks to get two tickets with no success, turned up at venue for 5.30pm hoping to get a couple. The staff at the Picket were so helpful and friendly wishing me good luck in getting a ticket, even had a chat to a rodie who came out for a sly fag and when all looked totally lost along came John Foyle and friends at 7.15pm with two spares. Thanks to you and your friends John, I had a great night.

The venue only holds 300 people so it was very intimate, got myself to the front and waited until 8.30pm when Elvis, Steve, Allen and his band came on. They got through 27 numbers in 2 and a half hours and were brilliant. We even sang happy birthday to Elvis' mum who was in the crowd. I must say that everybody at the concert was so friendly and helpful and that just added to a very special night.

If you get the chance go and see a band at the New Picket in Liverpool, help keep the venue open you will not be disappointed.

To round off a great night, managed to get Elvis' set list that he was using, will scan it shortly.
