Nothing to add to the spot on review the LP received last week except that ''Goodbye Cruel World'' sounds more like a man hurrying out of his contract. "The Only Flame" is one of the very few times on the LP where Elvis exudes a conviction and a purpose within this gorgeous music, where he doesn't sound like a parody of ... Elvis Costello. A keenly observed song about the power balance which exists in relationships, it carries a weight that Costello seems to have temporarily misplaced elsewhere. Perhaps he just wants to be loved. | Nothing to add to the spot on review the LP received last week except that ''Goodbye Cruel World'' sounds more like a man hurrying out of his contract.
