It was that venerable old gobshite John Lydon who had the last word on Elvis Costello: he was boring then, and he's ''fucking'' boring now. There's not much more we can add save to confirm that "Monkey To Man" is one of those tuneless alt.country jaunts that middle-aged, self-important singer-songwriters churn out and find subsequently hailed by ''Farto'' magazine as "career best."
