Elvis Costello And The Attractions played a one-off at Chippenham's Golddiggers club last week as surprise guests on the Nick Lowe tour. Our informant Mike Ware reports that they played for about 50 minutes and featured several new songs from their forthcoming LP, provisionally titled The Imperial Bedroom.

NME reports that Elvis Costello & The Attractions played an unannounced gig at Golddiggers, Monday, May 10, 1982, Chippenham, England, opening for Nick Lowe & His Noise To Go.

Following up on the previous issue's report, NME notes the similarity between the covers of Kenny Burrell's Midnight Blue (1963) and Elvis Costello's Almost Blue (1981).
